Family updates

Jared- He is such a stud muffin! He finished Kindergarten with flying colors! He is great at math, they placed him on a 2nd grade level math for next year (he'll be in 1st grade). He has enjoyed playing T-ball and swimming lesson, he now jumps off the diving board (if you know Jared you know that this is a great accomplishment, he is a bit of a chicken!). He has memorized the Primary Theme in Spanish another great accomplishment since he is my little "gringo"!!! He has been taking great care of Rafael his turtle, which is great for me because I refuse to touch it.
Also he recently got glasses he looks adorable, but too bad that he has my poor eye sight. Jared's favorite TV show is Animal Planet, he loves animals and dinosaurs and knows a lot about them. He is so funny he loves to imitate peoples faces and he happens to do a facial expression that I do to them when they are in trouble, and he does it so well!!! They don't take me serious at all. Hellooooo!

Maven- Maven is a doll and she has the big sister syndrome, she is a bossy little sucker! LOL Maven excels at everything she does. She will be in Kindergarten now in August and she cannot wait. I took her for the assessment test in May, I was hoping that she would be in all day Kindergarten so that I wouldn't have to make so many trips to the school. Well since she knows her letters, numbers, colors, shapes, how to write her full name and how to read they told me she had to be on half day and I quote... " No, I am sorry. Full day Kindergarten is only for kids who need the extra help, and she doesn't." Thanks a lot Maven! I am just kidding, I am glad that she is so bright! Maven also played T-ball and must I say she has a great arm! This is her first year playing, she gets it from me :) She loved her swimming lesson and since she is such a dare devil she needs to know how to swim. She is a great helper and loves to help me do the dishes!

Taylor- She cracks me up. She loves to eat, man can that girl eat. She is already getting into Mavens things, I don't even want to think what it will be like when they are teenagers. :( She loves to take out the dirt from my plants and throw it on the carpet. She knows she is doing something wrong too because she comes up to me and gives me this look and I know she has done something. She also loves to take all the wipes out of the wipe warmer and throw them all over her room. She truly gives me a run for my money. She loves to hold Haley and give her kisses. She has Roy wrapped around her little finger. She milks him so so good!

Haley- She is a butterball. Haley Lu is what we call her. She is just a great baby and so sweet. She cues and smiles mostly at me only!!!! I love it. She melts my heart. I am so glad that she is a part of our family.

Roy- I am falling in love with him more and more each day! He makes me laugh so hard which is kind of hard to do. He is working hard and going to school. He will be done in a year and a half and I cannot wait. In January he was called as 2nd Counselor in our ward and I truly don't know how he does it. He sleeps maybe 6 hrs a day max. He is extremely busy all the time. Sunday's are not the same anymore, he leaves early and gets out late... I am so thankful for his willingness to serve and for sacrifices he makes for our family and I have seen the blessings do to this. In between his busy schedule he manages to be the assistant coach for the kids t-ball team, he takes each kid (Jared and Maven) on their own Daddy date and takes me out to dinner, temple and movie date monthly. He is such a great man!

Diane- Well I am healthier! When Roy got his calling I thought that I was for sure going to get released and I was sad to not be with the YW any more. I prayed that I would be able to stay in my calling . Well little did I know that I was going to regret ever praying for that! J/K. It has just been a little hard with four kids and being pretty much a single Mom and all. It has just been a tad bit overwhelming but I am getting the hang of things! I have been tutoring the kids on school subjects, I have a few craft projects pending, I am enjoying book club and being a Mom. Roy and I went together for the first time to the YW camp together Roy as a Coun. and I as a YW Couns. it was so much fun to share that experience with him. The girls made him do a dance with them (I have a video clip of it) cause it was just to funny to watching play this game. I am getting my braces off soon! Hallelujah for that... I just started working out since I have some serious weight to loose thanks to my Doctor who made me drink protein shakes during my pregnancy because the baby was too small and I wasn't gaining weight, now I look like a stuffed burrito:(

We are looking forward to friends and family visiting us from out of town and taking our little family vacation. We are enjoying the warm and sunny weather!

Bath time

Haley loves taking baths, she truly falls a sleep in the middle of it. Too funny!

Funny face!

Taylor loves to make everyone laugh by making faces but one that really does it for us is her "Viejita face" AKA "Grannie face" it's a puertorican thing! Here it is and enjoy.

Even people at church ask her to make the face and they die laughing. It's better in person but you will have to settle for this!

I love to sleep!

Haley is just a sweetheart! She sleeps a lot so here she is at what she does best! Don't you love her cheeks! I do!!!

I like to feed my self!

Even though I like that Taylor is so independent it is also very hard. She will not allow me to feed her and she makes such a mess every single meal of the day. There is food all over her face, hair, chair and needless to say all over the floor. AHHHHHHHHH! For the sake of learning and developing her skills I shall let her destroy the kitchen... Here she is enjoy garlic bread, lasagna and a sugar cookie that Jared gave her. I can't be upset look at that face, she is darling!

I am getting so big, so fast...

Haley had her two week check up and she is doing great! She now weights 9' 7 and 21 1/2 inches long and she has her belly and double chin to prove it! The nurses couldn't get over her full head of hair and adorable cheeks. She has been holding her head up since she was a week old, cues and smiles all the time. She is also very alert, everyone thinks that she is older than what she is! We adore her!

Sick babies

I'm really trying to adjust to being a Mom of four and everything was fine until 3 out of 4 kids got sick at the same time, MERCY... Fevers, ear & throat infections turns into sleepless nights / cranky kiddos which equals tired cranky Mommy with a massive headache. I take my hat off to Moms, especially those who have more kids than me... Does it ever get better or easier? I pray it does!

If you ever want to have more kids read my blog, I am sure it will scare you away from doing so... LOL Just kidding!

1st attempt on pictures :(

Haley was a doll!

Jared didn't do all that bad if I remember correctly, maybe slouching.
Maven looked at everyone and everything except at the camera...

Taylor kept on picking at Haley's belly button and making weird & grossed out faces... We will try to take pictures again in a couple of weeks, hopefully they will listen and smile big for Titi Raquel. From now on we will only take pics once a year if lucky, it was insane.
